Re: 69th New York "Brigade Flag" Fredericksburg

That sounds like a great idea. I am going to do the whole tour before I leave. Sharpsburg, Gettysburg, Carlisle Barracks, New York State Military Museum.

I really want to talk to Scott Hartwig in Gettysburg and see what he has on captured Confederate and Union flags. I will show him my Gettysburg list. I have many many questions, Hay's being the most important. I doubt I am even scratching the surface at Gettysburg on Union flags.

Well I have around "1,100" Union flags so far. I am running out of the "easy finds." So I am have been checking Confederate camps and prisons, looking for Union regiments that had a high count captured. I am also checking all Union regiments that lost many men captured in battles, hopefully something new will pop up.

Have a good morning!

Shawn
