Is MOC aware of the identification? I note no mention in "Colours of the Gray" (1999).
I had not realized that division colors existed in the Confederacy. Nil on FOTC, unless I overlooked it. Is this peculiar to Rodes, making it unique? Is anything know of official approval or sanction, when it was originated, whether other divs in the same corps had their own, and to what degree they were same or different? Was this an identifying flag for the commander? Was it flown in lieu of, or in addition to, battleflag and national colors?
