Silk for Flags

Working my way through goods purchased by the CS quartermaster in Richmond, Va, in 1861 I came across a number of invoices for yards of silk. As the only use that the army would have for silk was probably flags I have added the info to my flags file. However, although most of the invoices were for pink, white or blue silk there were some for yellow and green silk. As the only yellow flags I can think of are hospital flags and it seems unlikely that they would use silk for that, and I have no idea what the green silk was used for. Any suggestions?
