Re: Union flags and makers

Oh, boy! I will look forward to your book when it comes out...any projections? Back to my original question on the Battle of Nashville and appropriate flags that would have been flown by the opposing sides during the fight for Shy's Hill, what would be the appropriate regimental or unit flags for both Union and Confederate units at that location? I know that the Union XVI Corps, including the 5th, 7th, 9th, and 10th Minnesota were attacking, and units of Bates Division, including the 2nd, l0th, 20th, 30th and 37th Tennessee Regiments, were on the defense, but I want to pin down the historically correct flags for each unit. Any help on references where I could find this information?

Thanks.
