I look forward to the publication of your book! I did not realize, however, that I had already been taking advantage of your scholarship through the Flags of the Confederacy website, as I have read every page of that site!
Your input in your post, together with the site information, is extremely helpful, although I am still somewhat confused about the Augusta Depot flags. I have read on the site that the white edging of the blue cross was two inches wide and sometimes bore in black the battle honors of the regiment, but then I have also seen purported representations of an Augusta Depot flag for the 1st Tennessee Infantry with the sewn-on battle honor for Perryville, and the crossed cannons as well. So, is the 1st Tennessee flag shown here accurate? Would, say, the 20th Tennessee's battle flag borne similar honors?
Thanks again for any help! I really appreciate your willingness to share your scholarship and your experience!
