10th Virginia flag being auctioned

A recent article in the Richmond Dispatch mentions the sale of a flag of the 10th Virginia Infantry, which is being conducted by Cowan's Auctions Inc. in Cincinnati on 3 December. This flag was reportedly held by Lt. J. G. H. Miller at the surrender at Appomattox, who concealed it in his jacket. It stayed in his family for 110 years until it was sold circa 30 years ago to an unidentified businesman, who is now reselling it. The Elkton Historical Society in Rockingham County, Virginia, is trying to acquire it.
