I wish we had this in Tennessee with the Union flags carried by those regiments. In June, 1865, state Adjutant General James Brownlow, son of the then current governor, ordered all Union Tennessee flags turned into the state. I have found no evidence that this was obeyed and, if it was, once the former Confederates got back into political power, they vanished. A couple were turned into the Tennessee Historical Society but have since vanished.
This is the big mystery for us.
