Thanks for the hyper-link.

This says nothing, however, as to the ID of the flag taken when Gen. Custis Lee was captured. WD 331 is the flag involved (at the MOC) and it is an unmarked ANV Third Bunting battle flag. This would have been a unit color rather than an HQ flag, which, by this time of the war (from late 1863 onwards) would have been the Second National flag with a possibility of it being a Third National flag (at least one of those was a corps HQ flag by then - Gen. John Gordon's Corps).

The pages before Page 353 had some good details of the artillery battalion's flag in action.
