I learned of this flag last week and did some research into it for someone who is considering buying it.

I cannot find any AOT units that served at Ft. Fisher whatsoever. The only thing that I can think of is that since Sherman did not take out Augusta, GA on his March to the Sea, their clothing depot kept making battle flags and since it was also a mjor rail center, somehow some of their flags got out to units in North Carolina.

This is pure speculation but I cannot think of how else an Augusta Depot battle flag got into Ft. Fisher.
