that's the rub!! The vendor does NOT know which unit the captor belonged to
and claims that the family that owned the flag does not know either!!!
It seems strange to me that a family with a military tradition, that owns a
captured flag for over 140 years, cannot identify their own ancestor's
unit designation.
Apparently the captor's name does NOT appear on the Soldier's & Sailors
system, as the vendor himself admits that he cannot id the man's unit either.
