The Civil War Flags Message Board

Re: 69th New York "Brigade Flag" Fredericksburg

I've researched the Irish Brigade for 24 years. The second
flag was a guidon of the 28th Massachusetts. Mrs. Elizabeth
Meagher had this flag, and it is now in Waterford, Ireland.
If I remember correctly without looking it up, this was a
small, square flag, white, with a red center, and the number
"5" on it.

Sincerely;

Robert McLernon
