Frank.......all my best to your grandsons. God bless them and their service to our country. I knew Shawn was active in "the region" and his rank and past service. My prayers are with him as well. I'm sure the LOC staff misses him as much as we do. Today is indeed Pearl Harbor Day. God bless all the WWII veterans that still are with us. Their numbers are diminishing rapidly. And more on the WBTS topic next Sunday is the 146th annivesary of Fredericksburg. If you've never visited there I would highly recommend it. Fredericksburg is a beautiful small Virginia town that shares a ton of history and all of the pleasures and technology of a big city. Visit the North side of the river at Chatham Manor and look acroos at what the Federal army was facing. With the town of Fredericksburg in between, Marye's Heights loom ominious in the distance. Fredericksburg and the surrounding area (Chancellorsville, Spotsylvania, The Wilderness) have some of the best preserved battlefields of the conflict. And if you go there be sure to visit Allman's Barbeque on Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Highway) for a great simple Southern BBQ snack in an old, lost in time, cafe atmosphere. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and that The New Year brings us happiness and stability.
