I, too, had family in the 5th Ark. Inf, Sgt Calvin Henry Harris, Company F. I'm just getting into more detail of my family's participation in the Civil War and after reading of the 5th's extensive list of engagements I am in awe of their successes, and defeats. To honor my fallen ancestor(Sept 19, 1863, Chickamauga) I would like to work toward the return of the flag to Arkansas. I've had a few leads, many good ones here.

My question is, who currently is the holder of this flag. I understand it is in private hands.
