The flag attributed to the 4th Florida and captured at Nashville is a rectangular Army of Tennessee St. Andrew's cross battle flag. It is in worn and damaged condition and unmarked as to unit. It is not absolutely certain that it is the flag of the 4th Florida. (It is in the collections of the Museum of Florida History.) The unit-inscribed second national flag of the 1st Fla. Cavalry and 4th Fla. Infantry (consolidated) was captured a week before Nashville. (This flag is also in the collections of the Museum of Florida History.)

The flag of the 7th Florida is a twin flag of the unit-inscribed flag of the 6th Regt. Fla. Vols. (The only difference being in the number.) Unlike the 6th Florida's flag, the 7th Florida's flag was not captured in this battle and was retained by a unit member and is still in private hands today.
