Tom- Where did you find an account of the 7th Va's state flag being picked up by Peck's brigade? I know they carried their battle flag throughout the battle. It had 27 holes in it at the end of the Battle of Williamsburg, and the 7th's color bearer, Tapley Mays, was voted a sword by the Confederate Congress for his bravery. But I have never heard a peep about this state flag- I would really like to know what you may have found out about this- Thanks-Barrett
