The jury is still very much out as to how many of Taylor's units used these flags with reversed colors.

We do know that Walker's Texas Division used them as both surviving flags of this style have connections to that command - one definitely (3rd Texas Infantry).

There are also two examples of blue flags with red St. George's crosses on them - one for Dobbin's Arkansas Cavalry and one for the 2nd Louisiana Cavalry. These are also for units from the Trans-Miss.
