Re 21st New York (Griswold Light) Cavalry - I can't seem to follow the thread on the CW Flags website . . . I am working on a biography of Volney V. Ashford, QM Sgt. Co. 'C' 21st NYVC/Griswold Light Cav (including E.E. Dodds). I understand the NYS Military Museum and Veterans Research Center has the actual colors in storage, but has not yet taken them out for conservation. Do you have/know of another resource? Does anyone have a photograph of them? What was that about William Harrison van Kleek, Co. M?
