Yes I do believe the 70th New York lost a flag. 110% on the 70th New York, they lost at least 50% of their regiment. I found a great map of the Union regiments and Confederate regiments. Wainwright had a 8 gun battery and the flag captured there was "To Hell or Richmond." The 5th New Jersey was the infantry support (Behind the battery). The 5th New Jersey was it on their left flank and they fled.

I also believe that Sickle's New Brigade had to have lost flags. Also the 5th-6th-7th-8th New Jersey has well. I wish there was more detailed information on this battle.

I was very happy that somebody else knows the truth that Custer did not captured the 5th North Carolina's flag. Seems like he was handed the flag to take to Headquarters and his story changed by the time he got there. lol. Just fuels my fire to find more Custer flags.
