It would be great if you could find the flag at some point as only three others of this issue exist today, two of them in the MOC (those taken in the Antietam Campaign possibly from the 10th Georgia and 15th North Carolina).

As the fighting in the Peninsula heated up, Gen. John Magruder issued orders to his army on April 9, 1862 describing the pink silk battle flags of the then Army of the Potomac that were coming to reinforce Magruder's command. This was so that the units of his command knew that this flag flew over friendly forces.
