Paroled on 05 May 1863 (Estimated day)
Pensioned Nov 1864 (Footnote - November 22, 1864)
Edgar was born in Hamburg, Erie Co NY lived there 1860 son of Atwell Saunders and wife Rhoda Allen
In 1880 he is still in Hamburg with a family his brother Asaph C and his family all same house

From his pension card on Footnote, he died on January 1, 1929 in Mankato KS.

Concerning the flag, call the New York State Military Museum (http://www.dmna.state.ny.us/historic/btlflags/electronindex.htm). If they have the flag it has not been conserved yet.
