Was it standard practice via the Richmond Depot to issue flags included with a staff?
and were all of them of standard size and length, or vary by contractor/maker?
I have seen a few originals, some were one piece, others that had a mid-way metal sleeve that held the two parts of it together, Assuming since many of the staffs were about 7-9 feet long, if one had to take train transportation or something simular it would be handy to be able to break down the staff, but dont know which was most commonly made or used.

Was curious if anyone has a listing of issues if the 14th Va had recieved one. They were on the Peninsula early on and absorbed for a period into Magruders forces. I found evidence witnessed accounts of them having and using a 2nd Bunting at Seven Pines and Malvern Hill...
