I was wondering what your interest in researching Volney Vaillancourt Ashford was. His second wife, Selena("Lena") Maude Heasman who died November 26, 1882 was the sister of my great grandmother and we have recently found some of their letters (Lena's and Volney's) written to my great grandmother (Annie Heasman Calverley) in the late 1800's. I noticed that you mentioned him as "V.V." which is what Lena often referred to him as, in her letters to Annie).
