It was the Federal 17th Corps defending the Bald Hill and the area just south of that.

There's no 16th or 19th Ohio in that corps. The divisions were Mortimer Leggett's (whose name was attached to the hill for his defense of it - it is the intersection of I-20 and Moreland Avenue now) and Giles A. Smith's.
