I have found that the flag of the 16th Arkansas that was housed in the ARk History Commission and eventually given back to the family who donated it is in California in hands of a family member. When that person was asked about possibly donating it back to Arkansas the reply, as related to me from my informant, was "No, I think I want to keep it for my kids, as a matter of fact they are playing with it in the back yard right now." I am told there is a sketch of it so if I can get a copy I will post it. That may be the best we ever get on that flag. THey don't seem to even want to photograph it for historians. So, it does exist according to my source who knows the family.
