I am happy to announce that the California State Capitol Museum in Sacramento has opened a new exhibit honoring California's Civil War heritage featuring eight Civil War flags from the following regiments:

Second Massachusetts Cavalry
First California Cavalry
Second California Cavalry
Sixth California Infantry
Eighth California Infantry

Many of these flags have not been displayed in public in many years...be sure to see them while the opportunity lasts!

The exhibit also features Civil War equipment, weapons and relics.

The exhibit is open to the public from May 22, 2009 to May 23, 2010. See the Capitol Museum's webpage for further details:
