Thanks very much - and coming from someone whom I respect it is doubly flattering to me.

The Western CS armies DID resist that eastern flag symbol for most of the war and even then some units never went with it - which just completely destroys the "one CS battle flag" myth. Thousands of CS soldiers never fought under the ANV battle flag or anything that looked like it - and yet those flags for those men are often ignored even by the SCV and other Southern heritage groups (I am an SCV member by the way).

I, for one, plan on educating everyone that there were some 20 CS battle flags and that each one was as sacred to one group of soldiers as another pattern was to that group.
