There is an early 20th century letter in the 15th AL Regt file at the AL Archives from a veteran to Peter Brannon, who was not only the director of the Archives but was also a native of Russell County AL where the regiment was raised at old Ft Mitchell. That veteran was the source of this story of the burial of one of the unit flags with Archibald. Regards, Terry
