This may be a bit off the subject here but if anyone knows it seems this message board is the place to ask.
We are Union Infantry Reenactors and want to know if 2 pc poles were in use during the Civil War. If not, when did they come ito use? We have a standard size Silk National and Regimental on 10 foot poles which are now one pc poles. Transporting the Colors to events on two pc poles would be much easier but we want to say period correct.
