Although I had this article in my 11th Alabama Regiment file for years, I can't take all of the credit, Richard H. Holloway originally posted the article on Jim's board on 8 April 2007.

The reporters description has the 11th Alabama as a 12 star flag but the one in the photo is a 13 star flag, so questions remain.
