Flags captured at the Battle of Nashville -

I am researching the 11th Missouri Infantry - Union. I am trying to determine which CSA regiments that the 11th Missouri faced at Nashville on December 16. Three men in the regiment were awarded the Medal of Honor for their actions that day. The medals were awarded for their capture of enemy flags. I thought if I could determine which flags they captured, it might help locate the position of the 11th Missouri and who they were fighting.

William Simmons was awarded the Medal of Honor for the capture of the 34th Alabama flag. This seems to be accurate and the regiment was active in the Battle of Nashville. Although, I didn't think the 34th Alabama was close to the 11th Missouri. Then things really get confused. The regimental records for the 11th Missouri shows that George Welch captured a flag but does not identify which flag he captured. However, there are several references that this was the 13th Alabama. I couldn't find the 13th Alabama at Nashville and it appears this regiment was in Virginia in December 1865. Finally, James Parks also received a Medal of Honor for the capture of another unidentified battle flag.

If anyone knows which flags George Welch and James Parks captured at the Battle of Nashville, please let me know. I would also like to confirm that William Simmons did, in fact, capture the 34th Alabama Infantry flag
Can anyone help clarify this issue for me?

Thanks for your help.
