I have quite a bit of material on the skirmish at Eucheeanna, none of which indicates anyone was killed or even wounded there. There is a chapter on Eucheeanna in the new edition of my Battle of Marianna book which will be released in May.

Could he have been a member of Captain W.B. Jones' unit from Vernon? Some of these men came over from Walton County and there was another McQuagge in Jones' company. Several of these men were killed at wounded at Hard Labor Creek on September 28, 1864, and a number of others taken prisoner.
