Exactly. It can be done, but it definitely takes some digging.

By the way, I uncovered some new information on Robert Chisolm's Cavalry Company ("Woodville Scouts") from Alabama that might be of interest to you.

According to Governor Milton's letterbooks, Richmond ordered the company disbanded in September of 1864 and the men conscripted into the Confederate service. The governor objected, crediting the men with "heroic" service at the Battle of Marianna, and asked that they be folded into the 5th Florida Cavalry instead. Richmond agreed and the unit became Company I, 5th Florida Cavalry. Most of the original members remained with the company.
