Re: Archibald Gillis 6th Florida

I read with interest your queries. My gggf was John Angus Campbell and fought with the 4th Florida Infantry, Co. H. His immigant ancestor,Daniel, married Jeanette(Margaret) Gillis, the daughter of Archibald Gillis who came from Scotland, I believe at the same time my Campbells came over. They came in at North Carolina and migrated to Walton Co., Florida. I, of course, am interested in the genealogy. Do you know where on the Isle of Skye they came from or any other information would be greatly appreciated. John Angus Campbell wrote a personal account of his experience during the WBTS, it is brief, but interesting. I would be happy to share anything I have with you if you desire it. I found the query answers very interesting and enlightening. Thanks, Joedy
