This regiment mustered out of service on Nov. 17, 1865. Other volunteer regiments remained in service afterwards.

Just a side note, it's a bit surprising how many members deserted from this and the 2nd Florida (U.S.) Cavalry. I've not studied either regiment, but the number of service files which record a desertion seems substantial.
