Dale's books are excellent and will cover things you won't find elsewhere. Nulty's book about Olustee is great, too (represents operations from the other coast.) Buker's "Blockaders, Refugees, and Contrabands" covers the interaction of Floridians with the East Gulf Blockading Squadron.

I haven't found anything definitive about Pensacola (particularly the early actions.) A knowleadgeble person who I won't name seemed less than enthused about the research in a recent book about Pensacola, so I haven't bought that one. Bearss' survey might be the best information on the forts and operations, but I don't know how to get a copy of his report at the moment.
