Re: Lt. Col. Lewis G. Pyles

I am descendent of Andrew Lester Pyles, my Grandfather, who lived in Thomas County, Cairo District, before Grady County was founded. His son, Henry Grady Pyles, is my father. There were two other siblings of my father: Brother Marvin Alfred Pyles, and Sister Cleo Pyles. Andrew Lester Pyles died as a young man, somtime in 1912, as result of a farm accident. With assistance from relatives who lived in Thomas County and Grady County, Georgia, I have constructed what I think is a fair and accurate Family History and Lineage. However, I found the names Lewis G. Pyles, who was from the Thomas County area, but have been unable to descern where his family came from, or who they were. That question is significant, because my Great Grandfather Thomas Jefferson Pyles, born in Crawford County, Georgia, moved to Thomas County with his family in tow. There was another PYLES from that area by the name of Reuben Reese Pyles. His heritage is unknown at this time. It is believe, however, that he and Thomas Jefferson Pyles were probably brothers. There is a 12 age difference, with Reuben being the elder. However, I have found nothing to indicate any parentage of either Reuben or Thomas Jefferson. I am familiar with rhe names Lewis G. Pyles, and his son, Samual Pyles, but am stumped when it comes to finding any family kinship between them and Reuben and Thomas. I would appreciate any comments or suggestions regarding these ancestors, and any possible tie-ins to other PYLES in those areas.
