I too have a couple of old maps from the period but have not found them accurate enough to depend on when on the ground. But Google Earth is VERY helpful. Parts of the old road north are clearly visible. With these two skirmishes it is fairly clear that they were at or very near the creeks where the road crossed.

I would like to see the other accounts you have. I'll email you directly.
