Of the GAR & CSA men in the collage, Henry VanPetten, b. 1830 in MI, lived in Denmark, Tuscola Co., MI. HVP enrolled in Co. D, 23rd Regt., MI Inf., Capt. Benjamin Huston of same Co. Apparently all children born in MI between 1854-1868. All show up in MI's 1880 Census. One son, Jacob VanPetten mar. Henry Charity (Chattie), sister to collage roster, William Maxey Hope, FL CSA. Jacob & Chattie lived in Hernando Co and later the Tampa, FL area.
