The tours will take place at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and will begin from the park area in front of the historic Russ house (now the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce) at the intersection of Lafayette and Russ Streets in Marianna. The cost to participate is $5, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the kids in their effort to expand interest in Florida history among school students.
Each of the walking tours will last about 90 minutes and will take guests across some of the areas of heaviest fighting. It will be a great opportunity to learn more about this fascinating episode in Florida history.
