For several years I have been researching and writing on the Stone's River Campaign. Currently I am engaged with Volume II, Army of Tennessee. It has been especially difficult finding material on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Florida regiments that served in Preston's brigade, Breckinridge's division.

I would be most appreciative of any information on those regiments from diaries, letters, newspapers, etc. Of particular interest is the letters of Washington Mackey Ives, 4th Florida that appeared in "The Florida Genealogist," Vol. 8, No. 4, Summer 1985, pages ff. I will cladly reimburse for copy/maiiling costs.
