My research has revealed that the local Seminoles were indifferent to the war. They had by then faded so far into the swamps that there was little contact with the "white" man at that time. Occassionally in the Ft Myers area they would trade, but for the most part the endured the isolation in content. If you search the web for Seminoles and the Civil War you will find very little about them in Florida. However in Oklahoma they may have served, mostly for the South.
