I have some references on these incidents at or near the end of the war that might be of interest to you. Some are pretty vague and others are more specific. I have found an excellent pension file case involving the ambush at Hobdy's Bridge on May 19th and a number of references to other incidents across South Alabama and Northwest Florida, some involving the 1st Florida U.S. and some not. One of the most impressive is of an entire company of "rebels" holding off a company of U.S. cavalry from an entrenched position on the state line near Campbellton, Florida, two years after the end of the war.
