There is an historical marker at the Marshall Swamp Trailhead that mentions a detachment of soldiers being called in from Ocala to chase and apprehend raiders of the Marshall Plantation. Does anyone have any further info on this? My husband mentioned the marker to me; I'll go there and see if there's more information to aid in a search, but thought maybe some of you would know details that aren't on the marker. Thanks!
