Does anyone have any historys or knowledge of an that may pertain to Dr Coon? He was apparnetly shown as an assistant surgeon in the 7th Fla Inf, BUT all I can find him shown as is as a private. I am under the impression that he was more of a contract doctor aiding the war effort, then returning home for duties there, then going back at least a time or two for Army dutys. Any information would be helpfull and much appreciated. BTW he was from Lake Butler Fla and was the sucession delegate for New River County before it became Bradford county.
