Thanks George. My info came from his G G grandson. Everett was captured at the battle of Marianna (9/27/64). He was taken to New Orleans, then sent to Elmira.
Was released before end of war an spent 3 months in hospital in Richmond for three months. when released he walked back to Orange Hill Florida and mustered out in May 1865. This is just one of the many interesting stories about the Battle of Marianna.
