We have information that our GGGrandfather, John W. Cox, served in the 5th GA Inf. We have found his Service records in the Nat'l Archives in Atlanta, and he was discharged on disability at Chattanooga in April or May 1862. He died sometime after the 1880 census in Dade County,GA.
Does anyone know if he or his wife, Sabrina Cox, ever filed for a Georgia Pension. Are the pension files online?
