I just can not believe this $^*%$! In middle Georgia alone Clinton, Hillsboro, Griswoldville, Gordon , Midway, and Irwinton's courthouse records, the churches were used for stables, residences were burned, families' food stolen and wasted, and on and on and on! This was within a 40 mile radius alone! BEFORE the "Great Invasion" (what a joke!) Randolph, Tennesee was destroyed by Sherman's orders that only a single house was to be left to mark where the town stood. It is just beyond my comprehension that someone could not look at where Griswoldville, Hillsboro and other towns ONCE stood (before "Uncle Billy")and not to be able to ascertain if this fiend was a war criminal or not. Most of these places except Griswoldville did not have war making establishments. Whew! I give up. It is totally beyond comprehension! One could easily write a book just listing depredations.
