Andersonville is nowhere near Rome. I've read anecdotal stuff about a prison pen at Rome. Since I couldn't remember where I saw it, I didn't post. There was no major facility like Camp Sumter (Andersonville), Camp Lawton (Millen), or some of the other big ones. It was common to throw up a stockade or convert a warehouse to hold POWs whenever there was action in an area. Rome was a pretty major operations center and was a regional hub. Good hunting.
