You may or may not know that the 59th Georgia was in Gen. George T. "Tige" Anderson's Brigade of Georgians. Anderson's Brigade was composed of the 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th and 59th Regiments. Anderson's Brigade suffered over 50% casualties storming Ft. Louden (Sanders), one of the Union defences at Knoxville. There is a site on it at:
