James STONE, CSA

I'm still searching to identify the Regiment and Company of my ancestor James STONE, most likely a private of infantry, CSA. He could have enlisted either in GA or AL. James, his older brother Wesley (Worley) and his 2 younger brothers are on 1850 census of Forsyth Co, GA with parents Wiley and Candas Stone.

These 4 boys were born in or near Stone Mountain, grew up in Forsyth Co, and in 1860 his brothers and parents are recorded on the census of old Milton Co.

The parents and younger sons moved soon after 1860 Forsyth census to Blount Co (Summitt) AL. I have been unable to determine where James was in 1860, and there's some reason to think this family may have alternated their stay in each state between the 10 year census records.

Wesley entered into CSA via Co. G, 56th GA, Forsyth-Milton Cos. The two younger boys served in Co. C, 28th AL, from Blount Co, AL. James is said to have been in a regiment with Army of Northern VA, badly disabled during the war, Soon after war ended, they were on 1866 State census of Blount Co, AL , on 1870 and 1880 census of AR. James married a Harriett Morris in 1865 in Blount Co, AL. Bob in OK
